About ActiveQ
ActiveQ is help desk and ticketing software for internal IT teams and managed service providers (MSPs). We built it because the big vendors’ bills kept growing and the job never needed that much software.

Why we built ActiveQ
Our team ran its help desk on products from the big vendors. The bill was about $3,000 a year at first and close to $7,000 by year two.
Nothing about our work had changed. We still had to take in a request, see who owned it, watch the deadline and answer the customer. Once we looked at what a help desk has to do, it was a lot less software than we were paying for, so we decided to build our own.
ActiveQ is the result: one queue for the team, a portal for the people asking, SLA clocks you can read at a glance, and a price that doesn’t go up when you add a client. We kept it small on purpose: customers reach you by email or the portal, and the desk covers incidents, requests, approvals and tasks.
A beta client told us the visual SLA timer was key to making their first-response and resolution targets. That was one client's experience, not a promise about yours. Tickets under an SLA policy show that timer, and the SLA page shows how it works.
If your bill looks like ours did, try it on your own queue. The trial lasts 14 days, has every feature and doesn’t ask for a card.
Who makes ActiveQ
ActiveQ is operated by Joshua Klimek, doing business as ActiveQ, in Minnesota, USA. It was founded in 2026. A person reads support@activeq.app, so write to us there.
What we commit to
- We charge for agents, the people who work tickets, and for nothing else. Clients, contacts and portal users are free, and adding one never changes your price.
- The trial doesn’t ask for a card, and it doesn’t turn into a paid plan by itself. If nobody subscribes when the 14 days end, the workspace goes read-only.
- You can cancel online in Settings, Billing, without a call or a reason.
- We email workspace owners at least 30 days before a price increase applies to an existing subscription.
- AI runs only when a staff member clicks, and we don’t train AI models on your workspace content.
- We describe only what is built. The changelog lists what has shipped.
