ActiveQ pricing
The price is $79.99 a month for 1 to 3 agents and $149.99 for 4 to 8, with $19.99 for each agent after the 8th. Clients, contacts and portal users are free, and the 14-day trial has every feature and needs no card.
Start 14-day trialNo card required. Sign-up is for US businesses.
Clients are free, and so are their contacts and portal users. You pay for agents, the people who work tickets. Adding a client organization, a contact or a portal user never changes your price.
How the price works
There’s one plan, and every feature is in it. The price depends only on how many agents you have. An agent is a person who works tickets; API keys never count as one. Prices are in US dollars per month, billed monthly, before any applicable tax.
Prices by number of agents
| Agents | Price per month | Price per agent |
|---|---|---|
| 1 to 3 | $79.99, flat | $26.66 with 3 agents |
| 4 to 8 | $149.99, flat | $37.50 with 4 agents, $18.75 with 8 |
| Each agent above 8 | Add $19.99 a month for each one, on top of the $149.99 | $19.99 for each added agent |
The price steps up at the 4th agent and again at the 9th. Inside a step it stays put, so each agent costs the least when a step is full.
Worked examples
For 9 agents or more, start from $149.99 and add $19.99 for every agent above 8. The home page has a price estimator that does the sum for you.

What every plan includes
- A ticketing desk with a live queue, internal notes, macros, ticket merging, and presence on tickets (who else is viewing or typing a reply). The internal IT help desk and MSP help desk pages show it at work, and so do the pages for property management, field and home services and professional services teams.
- Response and resolution targets with business hours, holidays, escalation steps and a live countdown. See SLA management.
- Portals for clients and employees, with branding, forms and sign-in method set per client.
- A knowledge base with a review step, a client help center and article suggestions on tickets.
- Reports and dashboards: 19 ready-made reports, a builder with 30 metrics, and PNG, PDF and CSV export.
- Email and portal channels, light ITSM (incidents, requests, approvals and tasks), automations and custom roles.
- An API and signed webhooks, plus an app you can add to Zapier with an invite link, in beta. See API and webhooks and the Zapier guide.
- Optional AI assist, with included runs every month.

AI: included runs and credits
AI assist runs only when a staff member clicks. Some actions draw on a pool of included runs that every workspace gets each month, and some always use credits.
| AI action | How it is paid for |
|---|---|
| Summaries, triage suggestions, translation, polish, resolution notes | Included runs first. When the included runs are used up, each run costs 1 credit. |
| Reply drafts | 1 credit each |
| Help-article drafts | 3 credits each |
| Research (web search, off by default) | The first 10 Research runs in each workspace every calendar month (UTC) are free. After that, 3 credits each. Only a workspace owner can switch Research on. |
A paid workspace gets 1,000 included runs a month (fair use), shared by everyone in it. During the 14-day trial the pool is 200 runs, and the trial also includes 50 free credits. A run that fails, is refused or is cut off is refunded automatically. Owners can set a monthly cap on credits and can switch AI off for the whole workspace or for each feature.
When you need more credits, a workspace owner can buy a pack: $9 for 250 credits, $29 for 1,000 or $119 for 5,000, in US dollars before tax. A pack is a one-time purchase that doesn’t renew, and its credits don’t expire while the workspace is open. Packs are not refundable except as the Terms say.

Trial and who can sign up
The trial lasts 14 days, includes every feature and doesn’t ask for a card. Sign-up and billing are for businesses in the United States, though people anywhere can use a portal that a business has set up. The full billing terms are in the Terms, and the About page says who runs ActiveQ.

Pricing questions
How is the price calculated when I add an agent?
In three steps. Agents 1 to 3 cost $79.99 a month in total. The 4th agent moves you to the $149.99 step, which covers 4 to 8 agents, so adding it raises the price by $70.00. From the 9th agent on, each one adds $19.99: 9 agents cost $169.98 and 12 agents cost $229.95. When adding an agent raises the price, the increase is charged for the rest of that billing month, as section 7 of the Terms explains.
What counts as an agent?
An agent is a staff member whose role lets them reply to customers, change a ticket’s status or assign tickets. Clients, customers, contacts, portal users and API keys never count, and a person you invite is not billed until they accept and join.
Do Light agents need a paid seat?
No. The built-in Light agent role does not use a paid seat. Light agents can create and view tickets, view reports, add internal notes and decide approvals, but they cannot reply to customers, change a ticket’s status or assign tickets. A role that includes any of those three actions counts as an agent and is billed, and moving a member to such a role is billed from that change.
Is there a free plan?
No. There’s no permanent free tier, only the 14-day trial, which has every feature and needs no card. Clients, contacts and portal users are always free, so only your agents count toward the price.
What happens when the trial ends?
Nothing is charged. The trial never turns into a paid plan by itself. If no workspace owner has subscribed when the 14 days end, the workspace becomes read-only until someone subscribes, and owners get an email 3 days and 1 day before that happens.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. A workspace owner can cancel online in Settings > Billing, with no call or reason needed. The plan stays active until the end of the paid month and is not renewed. Fees are paid monthly in advance and are not refunded for a partial month, except in the cases listed in section 10 of the Terms. We email owners at least 30 days before a price increase applies to an existing subscription.
Are AI credits included?
Partly. Summaries, triage, translation, polish and resolution notes use included runs: 200 during the trial and 1,000 per month once paid, subject to fair use. Reply drafts and help-article drafts use credits, and the trial includes 50 free credits. A workspace owner can buy a one-time pack when more are needed: $9 for 250, $29 for 1,000 or $119 for 5,000 credits.
Does connecting ActiveQ to Zapier cost extra?
No, not from ActiveQ. The API and webhooks are in every plan, Zapier connections and API keys never count as agents, and the ActiveQ app for Zapier is added with an invite link and connected from your own workspace at no charge. You pay Zapier separately for your own Zapier plan, and Zapier sets its own limits. The app is in beta, shared by private invite link, and is not in Zapier’s public directory; it has not been through Zapier’s review, so Zapier may show a notice about that when you accept the invite. See the Zapier guide.
Do prices include tax?
No. Prices are in US dollars before tax (plans are per month; credit packs are one-time). Where we are required to collect a tax, it is added to your invoice and shown on the payment page before you pay.
